The past week has been a lot of fun fishing on Navarre Beach. The weather has been nice with only a few days of mixed in light rain and clouds. Fishing on Navarre Beach Fishing Report
Redfish have been on fire 🔥 the past few 2 weeks in the Navarre Beach area. The schools have made there way into the area and they are jumping on every bait they can find. We fishing with the Panhandle Inshore Fishing Club this past weekend and fishing was really good most of the morning. We started off throwing top waters and caught plenty of 20-24 inch redfish. Once the sun got up and the wind started blowing we switched over to slow bouncing gulp on jig heads around any dock or structure we could find. It didn’t take long and bite was right back on. The beach has had had good schools of over sized bull reds along with all the local bridges.
Speckled Trout Fishing on Navarre Beach
Speckled Trout are still on the move getting ready for the up coming breeding season. If your looking for a chance at catching a Florida Gator Trout then your best chance is now fishing on Navarre Beach. Over the next 2 months the large trout will be roaming the flats and they are a blast to catch on light spinning rods or on a fly rod. If you book a fishing charter with Showintail Inshore Charters Of Navarre and want to fly fish please let me know ahead of time and bring your fly rod. I don’t have fly rods available. My boat is a low profile skiff and is perfect for fly fishing. If you want to catch them on spinning rods i supply everything you will need.
Most days this week looking for Speckled Trout we started off throwing matrix shad on light jig heads as close to the shallow shore line as we could get them and then reel them across the drop offs. We managed to catch a ton of trout in 12-17 inch range but finally mid day we found our first over 20” gator trout! Autumns fish was 23 inches and it was her first ever gator trout.

Sheepshead, Flounder, Spanish Mackeral, Bluefish and Pompano have been really good also. The bridge still have plenty of sheepshead. Send a live shrimp or fiddler crab down and you should be able to find them pretty quick. The Flounder we have been catching while throwing jigs for redfish around docks and structure. If you see birds diving make sure you stop and check it out for Spanish and bluefish. If you like sand spikes and sitting on the beach now is the time for to get out and catch a limit of Pompano. Sandfleas on the beach is sure way to catch your limit of Pompano for dinner!
