Current Conditions:
This week’s fishing in Navarre and Navarre Beach has been steady with clear water in the Santa Rosa Sound and light chop in the Gulf of Mexico. Morning temperatures are mild, and tides have been favoring the early bite. Inshore anglers are finding slot Redfish and Speckled Trout holding along grass edges and oyster bars, especially on a moving tide.

• Hot Spots This Week: East Bay flats for Speckled Trout, Navarre Beach Bridge pilings for Redfish
• Best Baits: Live shrimp under a popping cork, gold spoons, and soft plastic paddletails in natural colors

Species Report:

• Redfish: Active around docks and bridge structure — topwater plugs early, then live bait as the sun rises
• Speckled Trout: Schooling on shallow grass beds during high tide — switch to deeper drop-offs mid-morning
• Flounder: Showing up along sandy drop-offs with a slow drag of finger mullet or soft plastics
• Sheepshead: Holding on structure near Navarre Beach Bridge — small fiddler crabs are the ticket
• Tarpon: A few sightings just off Navarre Beach Pier, mostly cruising in small pods
